Cupid Infantry

I imagined this character as a cupid that served as God’s infantry. He would be called upon to fight in wars or carry out God’s “dirty work” (a hit-man of sorts). He started out as a pretty lighthearted character. As I continued to work on him, I began to draw influence from the unfortunate use child soldiers found throughout the world and especially in Africa. The character got a bit darker and continues It to be a work in progress. I look forward to developing him further and in a darker direction, adding wings, heavy weaponry (Gatling guns are always cool), a bandolier and more detail in general.

Lord Ganesha

I have always been very interested in religious icons and characters.  I find the stories and characters in Hindu religion especially fascinating.  This is my version of Lord Ganesha.

Horton Hears A Who - Alternate Trailer

This is an alternate version of the Horton Hears a Who trailer done with my classmate Alan Vincenzi. We used Pro-tools and new audio to create a whole new storyline. I scored the music, co-wrote the dialogue and did the voices for the girlfriend and Horton.

“Heaven Help Me” A Cupid’s Tale

This is an early storyboard animatic starring my cupid infantry character in a high-security prison in hell. The drawing is horrendous (it was done years ago) but I have kept it up because I think it is still pretty funny(especially with the sound turned on).

Stanford Virtual World Interface

While working for the Stanford Virtual Worlds Group, we were asked to help create the user interface.  I helped design the look, color scheme and many of the visual elements of the user interface.

Stanford Virtual Worlds Group - Concept Art

While working for the Stanford Virtual Worlds Group I was asked to help develop the look of the virtual.  The team was inspired by many architectural styles including ancient Indian & Gothic architecture.

Sea Entrance

This concept was meant to be the main sea port and entrance to mainland Meru.  It is heavily influenced by ancient Indian Architecture and the beautiful Chaitya Halls.

Ampitheatre:

This concept for the ampitheatre was heavily influenced by the architect Eero Saarinen and organic shapes, primarily sea shells and blossoms.

Amitheatre Beacon/Spotlight

This concept was based on the spotlights used for movie premieres and big events.  Users could see the lights from miles around, drawing them to big events in the virtual world.  The tower has platforms that would give users a space to stand and interact with other users with scenic views of the surrounding world.  The architecture is influenced by organic shapes and the architect Eero Saarinen.
